Magnitude 5.0 earthquake near Ridgecrest felt in Las Vegas

LITTLE LAKE, CALIF. (KTNV) — A 5.0 earthquake struck in Little Lake, Calif., at the China Lake Naval Weapons Base just before 1:50 p.m., according to the US Geological Survey. The epicenter was reported about 31 miles north of Ridgecrest, where a 7.1 magnitude quake struck back in July. Both events sent shock waves felt through the Las Vegas valley – including reports on social media Thursday afternoon of residents feeling a rolling sensation near downtown.
