LDW 2019: 325K visitors expected in Las Vegas this weekend

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Labor Day Weekend 2019 is here and thousands are expected to descend on the valley. An estimated 325,000 visitors are expected to visit Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says tourists will have $235 million in direct, local economic impact. Labor Day visitation is expected to be up 1.2% compared to last year. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) anticipates heavy Labor Day holiday traffic from Friday, August 30 through Tuesday, September 2, in southern Nevada. 60-percent of visitors are expected to be driving into Las Vegas. It means nearly 200,000 additional motorists on local roadways.
